Gatwick Airport's expansionGatwick Airport’s proposal for expansion have been given an acclamation after they were asked for submission on noise pollution by the Airports Commission.

Gatwick’s submission on noise pollution proved it has already basis of having less noise pollution than its larger rival such as Heathrow Airport.

The airport said it would always be quieter than Heathrow because its aircraft do not fly over those highly populated areas in order to get  there.

Airport Commission, led by Sir Howard Davies, will render its initial findings by the end of this year, before submitting a recommendation in mid-2015.

Heathrow requests to be permitted to build up a third runway, while Gatwick and Stansted both want to be given an approval to build up a second runway.
